According to reports, Tottenham stated a £20m bid for the teenager, while the Hammers launched a £30m offer for Kroupi.

Eli Junior Eric Anat Kroupi is a French professional footballer who was born on June 23, 2006, in Lorient, France. He is the son of former Ivory Coast international Eli Kroupi, who played professionally for FC Lorient. Eli currently plays as a forward for Lorient in Ligue 2.

Eli Junior Kroupi is currently just 18 years old and stands at a height of 1.79 m (5 ft 10 in).
Club career
Eli started out his football journey at the Lorient Academy and eventually started playing with the National 2 reserve team by the end of the 2021/22 season. He then signed his first professional contract with the club the following summer, in 2022. While becoming a regular goalscorer with the reserve, he made his first appearance with the senior squad in April 2023.
Eli Junior Kroupi eventually made his professional debut for FC Lorient in early June 2023 during a home Ligue 1 against Strasbourg. In doing so, he became the youngest player in the club’s history, breaking Mattéo Guendouzi’s record. The same year in September, he scored his first Ligue 1 goal during a 5-3 away defeat against Nantes. He became the youngest scorer in the club’s history, breaking André Ayew’s record.
Just one month later, he scored twice during a 3-3 away draw against Lyon. He became the youngest player to score a brace in Ligue 1. Kroupi has so far scored nine goals in 17 matches this season.
International career
Aside from his success at the club level, Eli Junior Kroupi has represented France at the youth international level. He received his first call-up with the under-16 back in October 2021. He quickly found success with the France youth teams, including the U16 and U17 teams. Later in May 2023, Eli played for the European Under-17 Championship.
