The incident reportedly took place on February 10 at around 4:10 p.m., according to Moab Police. Her friends tried to get in touch with her by dialling 911, but they were unable to do so safely. She was known as Zoe McKinney at her school. The scene was quickly responded to by the Moab Police Department, Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Grand County Search & Rescue, Moab Fire, and EMS.
They also mentioned the hard work put in by the members of the search and rescue, EMS, and fire departments to reach the victim’s region. With the aid of climbing gear with ropes and harnesses, they were able to descend to the victim. Sadly, she had died from the fall. Over the course of the following two hours, rescuers meticulously laboured to recover her body, according to the authorities.
Zoe’s boyfriend Lloyd Gist has poured tribute
“I’ll miss my lovely sweetheart always. She was the only person who knew me. You have my undying love, Zoe, and I will always love you!” Although it is still unknown if he was the deceased girl’s lover, Lloyd Gist said in a comment on a police page.

18-year-old Lloyd Gist recalled how Zoe was one of the first persons to contact him after he moved to Moab almost two years ago. Gist remarked that Joe had the brightest smile. She was the loveliest person; she would readily comply with any request made of her.
She complimented him on his beanie, after which they began chatting in class the following day, he remembered. Then they began spending virtually every day together. She took him on a tour of the city and made him friends with her friends.
After they started dating, Zoe, a cheerleader, attended all of Gist’s football games. Gist and Zoe had planned to move in together once Zoe graduated from high school this summer. Gist added they were always together. He further remarked that people used to call Zoe if they couldn’t find him since he was always with her.
