Lewis Terence Koumas is a Welsh professional footballer who was born on September 19, 2005, in Chester, United Kingdom. He is currently 18 years old and primarily plays as a forward or winger for Premier League club Liverpool. He is, however, a very versatile player, and he can also play as a midfielder. Although he was born in England, he currently represents Wales at the youth international level. His father is Jason Koumas, a former professional footballer who played for clubs like Tranmere, Wigan Athletic, West Brom, and more.

Koumas started off his footballing journey at the Tranmere Rovers academy, where he spent three years. He then joined the Reds’ youth academy in 2016, aged just 11-years-old. He quickly rose through the ranks at Anfield, and earned a promotion to Liverpool’s youth side in July 2022. During his debut season in 2022–23, he scored 14 goals and bagged five assists. Lewis Koumas has since been on an upward trajectory, impressing greatly with his versatility and attacking prowess.
Koumas has already scored 12 goals and three assists across all competitions this term in just 15 appearances for the Liverpool U18 in the U18 League. As a result of his consistent standout performances, Jurgen Klopp decided to play Koumas for their FA Cup knockout clash against Southampton.
