Lndsey’s goal ended the match 1-1, keeping alive the UWSNT’s chance of qualifying for the Round of 16. Horan scored the goal just shortly after her collision with Dutch player Daniëlle van de Donk on the sidelines.
According to reports, Horan’s teammate Julie Ertz told Horan to “Just score this goal, to shut everyone up.” as she received medical attention. And just moments later, Horan proceeded to do just that leveling the score 1-1.

During the match, Danielle and Lindsey, who are both teammates at Olympique Lyonnais clashed on the sidelines. Horan later shared that she “got a little heated,” and that she did not take the clash in a good way. However, by the end of the match, the two shared a laugh and a hug.

It was just a duel on the sideline that I won. She is a bit like me, she got a bit feisty. We just had a little talk.”

Lindsey started out her professional football career in 2012 with the Colorado Rush Women. She played with them for just one season before joining Paris Saint-Germain FC in France from 2012 to 2016.
