Chelsea are currently undergoing structural changes under their new owners Ted Boehly and Clearlake Capital. They have also developed a new transfer strategy, which involves signing a host of promising young talents for the future. Lesley Chimuanya Ugochukwu is a French professional footballer who was born on 26 March 2004 in Rennes, France. He plays as a midfielder for Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais F.C. and is currently set to join Chelsea. Lesley is a French national of French and Nigerian descent.

Ugochukwu mostly plays as a central midfielder with a deeper central and defensive role. Lesley started out playing football at the Rennes academy, and has so far made 60 appearances for the club. Last season, he played 35 matches for Rennes, and also represented France several times at the under-19 level.
