Lance Naik Kulwant Singh had lost his father, Baldev Singh, in the Kargil war 24 years ago and had joined the Army on compassionate grounds to continue his family’s legacy of service to the nation.
Kulwant Singh returned to duty on 1 April after visiting his family recently. He had called up his wife, Hardeep Kaur, a day before his death, expressing concern about the timely vaccination of their children – a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter and a four-month-old son.
Lance Naik Kulwant Singh was known for his loving and caring nature. He had plans to reconstruct his family’s house in their village Chadik in Moga district, Punjab. The entire village mourns the loss of this brave heart who had followed in his father’s footsteps to serve the nation.
In the wake of this heinous terrorist attack that took the life of Lance Naik Kulwant Singh, the Indian Army has come into action with a massive operation to track down the militants responsible for the ambush. The operation, which is being carried out with utmost urgency and meticulous planning, involves a multi-pronged approach with the deployment of various advanced technologies and coordinated efforts from different Indian security forces.
