Real Madrid are on the verge of completing the signing of 18-year-old center-back Lamini Fati from Leganés for €100,000 and born to an Angolan mother and Bissau-Guinean father whose names aren’t known, Fati is a highly regarded defensive talent with strong performances for Leganés B in Spain’s Tercera Division.

According to reports, the two clubs have already finalized a verbal agreement, and the transfer will be announced imminently.
Real Madrid in talks to sign Lamini Fati
The Los Blancos are currently looking to sign young defender Lamini Fati once the January transfer window opens in 2025. Real Madrid are reportedly close to signing the 18-year-old from La Liga rivals Leganes. Once the move takes place, Lamini will join Real Madrid’s youth academy setup.
Los Blancos reportedly gained interest after watching him play during a practice match between Real Madrid Castilla and Leganes B. The incident happened last summer, and Fati was reportedly close to joining Valencia back then. Real Madrid’s academy is also currently struggling to find form, just like the first team, as they are riddled with injuries. As such, Fati’s addition to the side will be an added bonus for the C team and Castilla.
According to reports, Los Blancos are prepared to pay a fee of over €100,000 ($105,000) for Fati. The amount will reportedly be close to his current standing buy-out figure.

Lamini Domingos Fati Joao who is of African descent is a young and upcoming professional footballer who was born on April 16, 2006, in Spain. He was born in Spain to an Angolan mother and his father, who hails from Guinea-Bissau. He mainly plays as a left-footed central defender for La Liga side CD Leganés B. CD Leganés B are the reserve team of CD Leganés, who play in the La Liga. However, unlike the first team, CD Leganés B play in Tercera Federación, the fifth tier of Spanish football.
