Lamine Yamal has made football history by becoming the youngest player to ever play for Barcelona.
In the 83rd minute of Saturday’s match at Camp Nou against Real Betis, the youthful forward made his senior debut.

Yamal joined La Liga at the age of 15 years and 290 days, making him the fifth-youngest player in league history.
After replacing Gavi, Yamal made a lively cameo and touched the ball 12 times. Rui Silva of Betis had to make a quick save after he only attempted one shot.
All eight of Yamal’s passes, including a beautiful chipped pass that found Ousmane Dembele wide open beyond the six-yard box.
Unfortunately, Dembele handled the ball improperly, denying Yamal an assist on his debut.
Even yet, when the game was over, the Barcelona fans awarded the young superstar a standing ovation.
Betis was down to 10 players when it was only 1-0. Edgar Gonzalez was expelled after receiving two cautions for kicking out and fouling at Raphinha and then Pedri, with a yellow.
Before Yamal’s tardy entrance, Guido Rodriguez’s own goal increased Barcelona’s lead to 4-0.
Barcelona’s victory saw them move 11 points clear of rival Real Madrid at the top of the rankings with six more rounds of games remaining.

Who Is Lamine Yamal?
Lamine Yamal was born in Esplugues de Llobregat, less than 4 km from Camp Nou. Born on 13 July 2007, he is 15 years old and the Spanish player is 1.80 m (5 ft 11 in) tall.
At Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy, he rose through the youth ranks.
Yamal started working out with Barcelona’s first team for the first time in September of last year after Xavi Hernandez, the team’s manager, spotted his star potential.
At the Under 15, Under 16, Under 17, and Under 19 levels, he competed for Spain. He is, however, also eligible to represent either Morocco or Equatorial Guinea because of his parentage.
Yamal parents belong to a Moroccan father and an Equatorial Guinean mother and Yamal’s birth name is Lamine Yamal Nasraoui Ebana. Yamal’s parents are self-confessed Real Madrid supporters, and him being at Barcelona appears to have not gone down too well as Yamal’s youth contract expires at the end of next season, and the club want to offer him a professional deal this summer with an increased salary.
Despite being a left footed, Yamal prefers to play on the right when used as a winger. He is also capableft-footedng as a no. 10 or as a central striker.
