Before marrying Lakeisha, Richard Williams was married to Oracene Price, who is the biological mother of the Williams sisters.

Lakeisha Williams was born in 1979 and is currently 44 years old. She is the stepmother of Venus and Serena Williams, arguably two of the best womenโs tennis players. Lakeisha married their father Richard Williams in 2009, seven years after his divorce with his first wife Oracene Price. Before her marriage to Richard, Lakeisha ran a grocery store.
Lakeisha is over three decades younger than Richard Williams and the two have a son together, named Dylan. After 8 years of marriage, Lakeisha and Richard Williams got divorced in 2017. The situation between the two got quite messy and they are both still embroiled in a legal dispute.
Richard and Lakeishaโs messy divorce
Most recently, Lakeisha took legal action to keep the Williams family home located in Palm Beach, Florida. This is where Venus and Serena Williams spent most of their childhood. Although Richard and Lakeisha moved into the house together back in 2009, Richard removed her name from the propertyโs records.
Richard stated that she signed his name without permission in order to gain full control over the family residence. According to reports, Lakeisha has made attempts to stop the divorce from being finalized. Her lawyer, Sara Lawrence, indicated through court documents that Lakeisha and her ex-husband Richard Williams have reportedly reconciled. The divorce proceedings have remained inactive ever since August 2019.

Oracene has been a massive influence throughout their lives, and this often goes unnoticed. Oracene Price nicknamed โBrandyโ, was born on April 3, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan. She grew up in the United States and attended Buena Vista High School, following which she earned a nursing degree from Western Michigan University.

Oracene and Richard Williams got married in 1980 after dating well before Richard established his coaching career in tennis. The couple had Venus and Serena in the following years and moved to Florida. While living in Florida, Rick Macci offered to coach the two sisters free of cost.
Oracene and Richard parted ways in 2000 stating seemingly conflicting issues, and officially got divorced two years later. Price had a great impact on her two daughters. She reportedly taught herself tennis to demonstrate the benefits of the sport to her daughters. The legendary Williams sisters themselves have often shared how their mother was their source of inspiration growing up.
