The nation will become the first Middle Eastern to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022. Everyone is ready to see the battle between the 32 nations for global bragging rights.
The final set of the battle will be held at the Lusail Stadium in Doha on December 18.

Originally, there were only one of four matches scheduled to be held in Qatar at the opening day, however, later the nation agreed with FIFA to bring the match forward by one day as a standalone meeting with the opening ceremony.
The tournament will begin just after the 7 days of Premier League Pauses.
Now the nation is all set to put the final touch in place for the 2022 World Cup, which will see 64 matches across the 8 stadiums during the 22nd running of the FIFA tournament.
Qatar and Fifa have now revealed the Mascot for the 2022 World Cup will be La’eeb. It is an Arabic word which means ‘super skilled player’ and FIFA claim that the character “belongs to a parallel mascot-verse that is indescribable.”
As per the FIFA, the mascot character will, “bring the joy of football to everyone.”
Though, the ‘mascot-verse’ is a parallel world where all mascots from past, present and future live.
However, La’eeb will be quite unique as it is downloadable in the form of GIF and Stickers over a variety of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, WhatsApp and Snapchat.
It can also take the form of a ghutra, which is a popular headdress in Arab countries and is often worn by Qatari dignitaries.
The mascot also encourages everyone to believe in themselves with the slogan “Now is All,” and it was unveiled during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 final draw.
Where Will We See Qatar 2022 Mascot, La’eeb?
The official mascot La’eeb for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, will be seen throughout the tournament.
The character will be used for greeting fans during the match and cheering on the action alongside the fans. Fans will be able to download the mascot through screensavers and filters.
In a recent interview, Khalid Ali Al Mawlawi revealed that he is confident that the mascot will be received positively by all.
On the other hand the Deputy Director General of Marketing Communications and Tournament Experience, said, “We are sure fans everywhere will love this fun and playful character.
La’eeb will play a vital role as we engage fans, young and old, in Qatar’s Fifa World Cup experience.”
Speaking of Mascots, La’eeb is the 15th World Cup Mascot across the 22 editions of the tournament for FIFA that has happened till date.
The trend of using the mascot began back in 1966, when the tournament was hosted by England with ‘World Cup Willie.’
