Carlo Ancelotti stated on Saturday that his team was “bothered” by Bellingham being sent off following the contentious final whistle.

Referee Jesus Gil Manzano’s instant timeout followed Bellingham’s strike that would have given the Whites’ midfielder a 99th-minute winner at the Mestalla, and the Whites’ player objected and was shown a red card.

Consequently, it was not shocking when Bellingham expressed his dissatisfaction with the referee right away. Gil Manzano, apparently feeling that the midfielder’s arguments had gone too far, proceeded to show Bellingham the red card.
