Kumari Aunty, real name Dasari Sai Kumari is a middle-age woman who runs a food stall in Hyderabad. She has reportedly been running the shop for 13 years now after first starting up her shop back in 2011. Her food stall, located at the ITC Kohinoor junction, got immensely popular after it start popping up on various social media sites. As a result, many food bloggers soon came up with videos about her shop.

Owing to its popularity, Kumari aunty cooks nearly 100 kg of rice along with various non-vegetarian items daily. The popular food stall offers a variety of items like rice, chicken curry, and mutton curry.
Kumari Aunty faces an order for closure
While Kumari Aunty’s popularity has brought in a lot of customers to her food stall, her popularity has resulted in intense traffic jams along the area. This is because a lot of people turn up to her stall and simply park their vehicles near the shop. As such, the Raidurgam traffic police on Tuesday issued an order for the closure of her stall. The authorities cited that her shop created intense traffic congestion in the IT sector area in Madhapur. Ganesh Patel, who is a Raidurgam traffic inspector, stated:
She has not received any permit to run the stall. It is on a footpath and many YouTubers visit the place to record videos. The stall has caused quite a congestion in the IT sector stretch.”
In response, Kumari aunty stated how she has been running her stall there for nearly 13 years and that IT employees and daily wage labourers regularly come to consume food from her eatery. She explained how she has even asked her customers not to park their vehicles here.
Despite the order issued against her, many netizens came forward on social media to expressed support towards her. Following the immense online outrage, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed the DGP and Urban Development Ministry to revoke their decision on Wednesday.

Much to the surprise of many people, the middle-class woman has been earning much more than what a software engineer earns in the same IT area. According to Sai Kumari herself, she reportedly earns a minimum of around Rs 30,000, daily.
