After leading the case for Xana’s mother, a web investigator recently alleged that Anne Taylor also represented Madison Mogen’s stepmother, Korie Hatrock, in court. However, a Reddit user was perplexed as to why Mogen’s stepmother was taken into custody.

A user posted on Twitter, saying “And she was on Maddie’s stepmothers case also in 2022. Must be a very small town. Why was Maddie’s stepmom arrested? Rabbit hole again…”

An further Reddit user posed the question, “I read Madison Morgan’s obituary and it lists her stepmother as Korie Hatrock. When I Googled her name it lists her as being in jail but doesn’t list the reason and the date of 11/7/22…..”

There’s no way to know for sure if this was the case, but there have been a deluge of outlandish speculations regarding the victims and suspects. Korie Mogen-Hatrock is Madison Mogen’s stepmother and the wife of Ben Mogen. According to Korie’s Facebook profile, the couple got married on August 8, 2020, and now resides in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

What was Anne Taylor’s role in the case of Xana Kernodle’s mother?

Cara was arrested on November 19, only days after her daughter Xana was killed. Inside Edition reports that after more than a month of defending Cara in Kootenai County, Taylor resigned after being selected by the court to represent Kohberger. Taylor resigned from the Cara case on the same day she was assigned to the Kohberger case.

Reports indicate that she was named Kohberger’s attorney on January 5. And filed a brief seeking replacement counsel in the late afternoon of that day. According to the records, the two clients were similar in certain ways. The media have claimed that Xana Kernodle’s mother is on the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office’s “Active Wanted Persons” list for two felony counts of dr*g possession.
