Sharad Kapoor’s career took a severe turn after a series of box office failures, and he was eventually passed over for film roles. The actor’s personal life garnered media attention in addition to his career. He gained notoriety in 2008 when he married Koel Basu, the granddaughter of former West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu. The couple is currently living a good life in Mumbai.
