Iwamasa has reportedly admitted to charges of causing the death of actor Matthew Perry. Kenneth Iwamasa pleaded guilty on August 7 to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death. He also admitted to repeatedly injecting Matthew Perry with ketamine without medical training. This includes performing multiple injections on Perry, the day he died on October 28, 2023. If Kenneth is found guilty and convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison.

Kenneth is reportedly accused of conspiring with Sangha, Fleming, and Plasencia to illegally obtain ketamine and distribute it to Perry. As Perry’s personal live-in assistant, Iwamasa began obtaining ketamine for him from Fleming and Sangha starting around mid-October 2023. After eventually discussing the prices with Iwamasa, Fleming coordinated the drug sales with Sangha.
Aside from purchasing the drugs, Kenneth Iwamasa also injected the ketamine to Perry despite having no medical training. Iwamasa allegedly administered about 27 ketamine injections during the final five days before Perry’s tragic death. It was Iwamasa who first discovered Perry’s lifeless body in a hot tub, barely keeping his eyes open, with dangerous amounts of ketamine injected in his body. The assistant eventually came clean about giving him the drug, along with four others.
