The suspect who has now been identified as the 30-year-old Kendall Howard has allegedly opened fire on 2 cops in New Jersey a day ago. Both the officers have been rushed to a nearby hospital.

According to a report by NBC New York, the law enforcement sources have stated that the authorities had surrounded the building in which they believed the East Orange man had been hiding.
However as of now the investigators are unable to locate him.
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, on Tuesday, Kendall allegedly opened fire on the officers who were present at Van Velsor Place and Chancellor Avenue.
The incident happened when the officers tried to arrest the 30-year-old for a different shooting case. The suspect was reportedly linked to a shooting which happened last week.
The cops were called to an apartment building after a neighbor identified Kendall after seeing his picture in a wanted flyer. The officers found him in the parking lot and they went to arrest him, following which the shooting happened.
A witness named Rosalind Reeves opened up to CBS News in a statement as she said, “It was horrible. At first, I thought it was firecrackers, but then, because there were so many, I realized what it was.”
The Public Safety Director of Newark, Fritz Fragé said in a statement, “One was shot through the face and into his shoulder. He was in the hospital, had surgery.
“He’s in stable condition. They’re keeping him overnight. The other officer was shot in the leg. He’s also in the hospital in stable condition.”
As per authorities, the investigation is underway, however, as of now there isn’t any information about the whereabouts of Kendall Howard, who has been involved in 2 shooting incidents recently.
