The campaign was started in memory of the Zajfen parents of Los Angeles, who tragically lost their nine-year-old son, George. Kelly McKee Zajfen, 42, revealed her child’s terrible death on Instagram, saying that she will make an attempt to live for the sake of George’s twin sister.
She said in the caption of her Instagram post: “My precious baby son. My entire universe has been smashed into a million fragments. I’m having trouble breathing. Walk. Do your job. Sit or stand. You were the sun in my life. Your grin brightened the room, and your soul was the most exquisite and loveliest.”
Kelly is an entrepreneur and a former model. She is the co-founder of a group called Alliance of Moms, whose mission is to help kids in the Los Angeles foster system who are pregnant or have already been raised. Their primary goal is to provide a prosperous future for both children and moms. She also has a brand of eco-friendly children’s clothing called Little Minis.
The nine-year-old was tragically found “unresponsive” at home and the cause of death remains a mystery while Kelly’s daughter is currently suffering from a heart ailment for which she’s required to wear a pacemaker.
Meghan met Zajfen through her ex-husband Trevor Engelson, who also donated to the GoFundMe and Engelson is said to be friends with Zajfen’s entertainment lawyer husband Julian.

Good friend Kate Jefferson decided to arrange the fundraising, which has already concluded. In order to aid the bereaved family with cremation arrangements and everything else, the Zajfen family may require while grieving.
However, The GoFundMe page has already been deactivated, as the Zajfen family has requested that donations be sent directly to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in George’s honor.
The page now reads: “The outpouring of generosity and love in reaction towards this page has indeed been astounding and wonderful. Please understand that the Zajfen household did not request that this page be created. Instead, they have asked that any gifts made in memory of George be made to Children’s Hospital L.a..” It further states that any cash generated by the GoFundMe campaign would be contributed to the hospital in George’s honor.
