KE Kumar death and professional career
KE Kumar who was 59 years old was a noted racer who died in a hospital following a crash in the second round of the MRF MMSC FMSCI which is an Indian National Car Racing Championship 2022 at Madras International Circuit. This sudden incident has shocked all his competitors and fans.
The mishap occurred when Kumar’s car came in the contact with that a competitor during the saloon car race in the morning time. The car slid across the track and has been landed on the roof after slamming into a fence.
The race was immediately stopped by showing a red flag. Within a few minutes, Kumar was extricated from the wreckage and shifted by an ambulance to a nearby hospital after a preliminary examination at the track’s Medical Centre. However, Kumar succumbed to his injuries. Chairman of the meeting, Vicky Chandhok stated, “It is the most unfortunate incident. Kumar was an experienced racer. I have known him for numerous decades as a friend and his competitor. The MMSC and the entire racing fraternity is mourning his demise and conveyed heartfelt condolences and paid tribute to his family.”
Chandhok had added that the national governing body for sport FMSCI and the organizers, the MMSC, have launched an investigation into the incident which took place. Moreover, as a mark of respect paid to Kumar, who was a life member of MMSC, the remainder of the day’s schedule was canceled.
