Collin Morikawa is among the most succeeful golfers since he turned professional in 2019. In 2020, he became the third-youngest PGA Championship winner since World War II. In 2021, Collin made history by marking a victory at Open Championship. He became the first player to win two different majors in debut attempts. His wife, Katherine Zhu has always been by his side.

Katherine Zhu attended the Zhuji Hailiang Private High School, China despite being born in Vancouver, Canada. She graduated in 2014. Katherine has majored in international management at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Despite attending different universities, she initially met Morikawa during her time in college. Her partner was a student at Berkeley University.
Zhu has a history of athletics. Her mother was a track performer while her father Mike Chu was a tennis player. Before concentrating on golf, Zhu was a competitive tennis player. She won her first amateur tennis match at the young age of 13.
