Karnataka Department of Pre-University Education Asks For A Clarification
A Kannada lecturer at a pre-university institution in Malleswaram has been asked for clarification by the Karnataka Department of Pre-University Education. The system asked for clarification regarding a social media post that allegedly made fun of the Chandrayaan-3 project.
The deputy director of PU (Bengaluru North) stated, “Murthy’s social media post about Chandrayaan-3 came to my attention on Monday. We have asked the lecturer for an explanation of why he posted such a remark. On Wednesday, he will turn in his response. We will act appropriately in response to it.”

S Suresh Kumar, a former education minister and BJP leader, has written to Madhu Bangarappa, the new school education minister, to request clarification on the lecturer’s conduct.
He wrote a letter to Bangarappa saying, “While the entire country was celebrating the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3, this lecturer posted this tweet on the same day on his social media account. How can someone like that inspire our students? I would like to ask Hulikunte Murthy for clarification and issue a warning to this instructor to be cautious and refrain from engaging in similar reckless actions in the future.”
The Chandrayaan-3 Mission
The Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched last Friday, after the Chandrayaan-2 mission, which sought to achieve a soft landing on the moon’s surface. If this mission is successful, India will join the United States, China, and the former Soviet Union as the fourth nation to successfully complete a soft landing on the lunar surface.
