Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a member of Bolangir, the former royal dynasty of Patna, the princely state. He served as a state president of the BJP’s Odisha unit before becoming a cabinet minister in the state government.
Singh Deo represented the Patnagarh constituency in the Bolangir district as a member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
From 2000 to 2004 and until Naveen Patnaik’s departure from the National Democratic Alliance in 2009, Singh Deo served as the Cabinet Minister of Industry and Public Enterprise in the Government of Odisha. From 2004 to 2009, he also served as the Cabinet Minister for Urban Development and Public Enterprise.
