Authorities claim that Cail’s boyfriend, Kamal Thomas checked on her last Tuesday night after she left a bar just after midnight. Later, he found Cail on the floor and in trouble when he got to their house.
While Jamie Cail was receiving CPR at the Myrah Keating-Smith Community Health Center, her boyfriend, and a friend were able to transfer her there rapidly but were unsuccessful in saving her life.

According to court records, Kamal Thomas was convicted of killing James Cockayne after he and other attackers attacked the resident of Pennsylvania outside a bar in St. John. After the 2007 attack, first-degree murder charges were first brought, but he was capable of resisting them.
After being convicted guilty of assault and possession of a weapon in 2010, he was given an eight-year jail sentence. According to Fox News, the four attackers from the 2007 incident, including a guy convicted of tampering with evidence, were all found guilty of counts relating to the killing.
He is currently 32 years old.
