A shocking incident took place on the night of June 12, 2025, near Adesh Medical University in Bathinda after locals found the dead body of popular influencer Kamal Kaur. Locals in the area first alerted the police after detecting a foul smell from a locked car. Upon further investigation, they found the body of Kamal in a vehicle registered in Ludhiana. Amneet Kondal, who is the Senior Superintendent of Police, confirmed that the case is being treated as a murder and stated:
Prima facie, there seems to be something suspicious. We’ve registered an FIR under murder charges.”

As of now, police have not confirmed the exact cause of death, but authorities suspect that Kamal was murdered elsewhere and her body dumped in the car. Authorities have brought in a forensic team in order to assist with the investigation. According to reports, her phone remained active until the night of June 10, which is the day she left her home in Ludhiana. Authorities are still exploring whether the crime is linked to the multiple threats that she had reportedly received over her controversial social media posts.
