The A-category auction dynamics were eagerly anticipated, since the base price was set at Rs. 30 lakh, while the base price for category B was Rs. 20 lakh. The base rates for the next categories, C and D, were Rs. 13 lakh and Rs. 9 lakh, respectively.
However, the Iranian captain and experienced all-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, who recently competed in the Asian Games final versus gold medalist India, received most of the attention.
U Mumba and Gujarat Giants started the bidding battle for Shadloui, and then Puneri Paltan and Telugu Titans joined them. Ultimately, the Iranian powerhouse was acquired by Puneri Paltan for an astounding Rs 2.35 crore, with his old side, the Patna Pirates, choosing not to exercise their Final Bid Match (FBM) option.

He was born on 3 September 2000 in Iran. However, not much is known about his personal life or marital status.

His career
Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh developed a love for Kabaddi at a young age.
He graced the field as a left-corner defender for the victorious Patna Pirates in the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League Season 8. Aware of his skill, the Patna Pirates bid a remarkable Rs. 31 lakh to secure him in the PKL auction in 2021. Fast forward to 2023, and Shadloui is set to appear as a part of Puneri Paltan, having clinched a monumental contract valued at Rs 2.35 crore.
Additionally, Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh proudly represented Iran as an all-rounder at the Dubai Kabaddi Masters competition in 2018. He also made a vital contribution to Iran’s success in 2019 by winning a gold medal in the Junior World Kabaddi Championships.
