A Police Chief of Brackenridge, Justin McIntire, is making headlines after he was shot dead along with another officer in a shootout on Monday, Jan 2, 2023 by Aaron Lamont Swan Jr
As per the Allegheny County, on Monday, Jan 2, the officials responded to a 911 call on the 800 block of 6th Avenue, Morgan Street shortly after 04:00 P.M. in Pennsylvania.
As per the authorities, the cops were trying to nab a suspect who was wanted for a Probation violation. However, in the pursuit of the suspect, a police officer Justin was shot dead by the suspect and another officer got injured.

Who was Justin McIntire?
For those who are curious to know more about Justin, let us tell you, he was the former Police Chief of Brackenridge.
As per a report by CBS news, Justin was leading the police department of Brackenridge ever since he was appointed as the Chief in 2018.
As per the statement given by sources, the former Police Chief was declared dead at the crime scene. Meanwhile another official who took a bullet in his leg was rushed to a nearby hospital. He is now believed to be in a stable condition.
As per the outlet, McIntire had started out his career via being a Patrol officer and later he rose to the ranks to become a Chief by his outstanding contribution and services.
As per the witness who seemed to have witnessed the whole situation, there was an altercation between the suspect and the two police officials. However the suspect then fired a bullet which hit the officer and killed McIntire.

The authorities have revealed the identity of the suspect as Aaron Lamont Swan Jr. As per the statement given by investigators, the suspect fled from the scene after he stole a vehicle.
As per the authorities, Swan fled from the scene while driving a 2014 silver Subaru Legacy with a license plate number GMA8620.
