Recently, his fans discovered that the popular trainee had killed himself days after his 30th birthday thanks to a now-deleted tweet from his mother. On September 19, his mother announced the trainee’s suicide on Twitter under the handle @myson12. According to the post’s description,
“Hello. I’m Jung Joong-ji’s mother. It’s sad to say this, but my son has taken his life.”
She added, “I can’t put into words how I feel right now.”
He passed away on September 9, according to the post.

Jung Joong-ji was a popular South Korean actor who was well-known for participating in a Korean reality show, “Produce 101 Season 2.” He has been in the news because he allegedly died by suicide.
He was born on September 5th, 1992 in South Korea. His highest educational qualification was graduation.
His height was 5 ft 8 inches or 172 cm and his weight was 70 kgs or 154 lbs.
At the time of his death, he was just 30 years old.
His Career
Jung Joong-ji has starred in the plays named “Prison” and “The Essence Of Love.” In addition to this, he also participated in season 2 of Mnet’s production 10 in 2017.
He represented Wayz Company during Produce 101, but after leaving the business in May 2017, Produce 101 continued to refer to him as as a Wayz Trainee. He finally joined Thank Technique as a trainee.

Jung Joong-ji had been plagued with many controversies since his arrival in the industry. He is said to have sent a suicide note in 2017 when he initially became involved in a sexual assault scandal. Then, one of his friends said that Jung Joong-ji had improperly grabbed her when the two were in a theatre. Joong-ji then accused his company of fabricating the bizarre sexual assault tale as part of noise marketing. His previous label, though, refuted the claims.
Later that year, Yoon Ji-sung of Wanna One was accused of intimidating Jung Joong-ji at the “Produce 101” show, according to Jung Joong-ji. His net worth stood at $300,00.
