As it became known that ice hockey player and partner of Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka, Konstantin Koltsov, had passed away with ‘a detached blood clot’, the tennis world was shocked.
Koltsov was a professional hockey player from Belarus who played for eighteen years. The former was dating World No. 2 Sabalenka for years now however, they made their relationship public in 2021.

Former ice hockey player Konstantin Koltsov was declared dead on Tuesday by his former team Salavat Yulaev Ufa via social messaging app Telegram.
Koltsov was seen supporting Sabalenka on many occasions be it online of in person. He was receltlu seen paying tribute to her on International Women’s Day. He was also there to support her when she won this year’s Australian Open.

Who is Julija Mihailova?
Julija Mihailova is the ex wife of Konstantin Koltsov. She has around 4.9k followers on her Instagram account as of this writing. According to her profile’s bio, she is a real state advisor and an interior decorator.
The pair called it quits in 2020 however the reason for their separation is not known. It it to be noted that in their separation post by Julija, in which she posted a picture of her with the late hockey player and the other picture of the series was of their three children, she had tagged Sabalenka.
She captioned it with a long painful message calling the picture to be it the ‘last photo with him’ on her Instagram. She ended the post by saying, which translated:
