What happened between Andy Ruiz & Julia Lemus?
According to latest reports, former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz is accused of raping and mistreating his ex-girlfriend. After claiming that the 33-year-old boxer had abused her physically, s*xually, & psychologically, his ex-girlfriend Julia Lemus was given a temporary domestic violence restraining order. On April 6, Lemus, requested a restraining order in San Diego and claimed that Ruiz had also abused their two children.
Julia Lemus also charged Ruiz with drug and alcohol abuse, which made her fear for her life. Lemus further claims that Ruiz brandished an AK-47 in her direction after she expressed discomfort at Ruiz buying a number of firearms and attempting to exhibit them to her.
Julia said that Ruiz started harassing her s*xually in February 2023, even repeatedly forcing himself on her. The boxer is forbidden from possessing firearms and must maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from his ex-girlfriend. Lemus is also granted complete physical and legal custody of their two kids under the court’s ruling.

How has Ruiz reacted to claims by Julia Lemus?
In a statement submitted on Thursday, Ruiz angrily refuted the accusations and claimed she is only trying to find a method to keep him apart from his children. In actuality, he claimed that Lemus’s knife attack on him in February 2020 made him the victim.
