The 17-year-old Julia Budzinski died in a local boating accident, according to her family. However, the accident details were unclear Sunday night. According to some sources, Julia Budzinski died after falling from the boat into the river. It is believed that Julia died in a boating accident on the James River. According to the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, Julia Budzinski was killed after falling off an inflatable dinghy. The boat that was pulling her dinghy turned around to get her out but, she was pound by the boat’s propeller.
The Glen Allen high school community all together gathered at the school to express sadness for the loss of Julia Budzinski. Julia was on the basketball and soccer teams at Glen Allen High School. The principal of Glen Allen High School, Reginald Davenport announced her demise in a tweet.
Julia’s father, Mark Budzinski is the Toronto Blue Jay’s first base coach. The Blue jays announced that Budzinski would be taking time away from the team, after the loss of his 17year old daughter. The Budzinski has been part of the Blue jays over the last four seasons. This devastating loss is felt by the entire organization and we feel intense sorrow for the loss and our prayers are with Bud and his family.
On Sunday, the Blue jays played against the Tampa Bay Rays, the game began with a moment of silence for Mark Budzinski’s late 17-year-old daughter Julia Budzinski. Following the game, on Sunday evening a celebration of life for Julia Budzinski was held outside the Glen Allen High School.
Mark Budzinski Career
Budzinski played college baseball at the University of Richmond. Throughout his career, he has played for major baseball teams like Cleveland Indians, and Kinston Indians. He made his Baseball major league debut for Cincinnati Reds in the year 2003. He retired in 2005 and returned to professional baseball in 2014 as a manager for Lake County Capitals. Since November 26, 2018, Budzinski is with Toronto Blue Jays as a first base coach.
