Who is Jonathan Irons husband of Maya Moore, his age, son, story and net worth in 2023
Maya and Jonathan have been married for two and a half years and are enjoying raising their son, Jonathan Jr., who was born in July 2022.
Maya, a two-time Olympic gold medalist who left basketball at the height of her career in 2019 to spearhead a movement that assisted in the release of Jonathan, a man who was wrongfully imprisoned for 23 and a half years, made the announcement of her retirement from the sport on January 16.
A tale of battle, passion, and love is told in the couple’s book, “Love & Justice: A Story of Triumph on Two Different Courts,” which was published on January 17.
Jonathan Irons who is aged 44 today was falsely convicted of burglary and violence in 1998 when he was only 18 years old. He was found guilty of shooting at and breaking into Stanley Stotler’s O’Fallon home.
At the time, Irons had constantly claimed that he had been misidentified and had not been present when the incident occurred.
At the height of her @WNBA career, Maya Moore walked away from basketball to fight for Jonathan Irons' freedom.

Missouri Judge Daniel Green overturned Irons’ conviction in March 2020, after he had already served more than 23 years in jail. The case’s investigation and trial methods were criticised by Green for several reasons. He made a fingerprint report available to the public that Irons’ legal team had not previously disclosed in court.
The print, which was found on the inside of the door, was neither Irons’ nor Stotler’s. If the print had been handed in, Green conceded that his defence team would have had “unassailable forensic proof” to establish Irons’ innocence.
Because the prosecution’s first evidence was “extremely weak and, at best, circumstantial” Judge Daniel Green ruled that all charges against Irons were dropped.
On July 1, over four months, he was greeted by Moore, her family, and other supporters who shouted and gave him hugs as he left prison.
