The Okmulgee Police Department arrested a 67-year-old Joe Kennedy a person of interest in the Oklahoma River Killings on an unrelated charge.
Joe Kennedy is currently a person of interest in a case involving the murder-mutilation of four men. The bodies of the four victims were found shot and in a dismembered condition.

Police have taken Joe into custody in Volusia County, Florida after they made an arrest for an unrelated crime.
Oklahoma River Killings
The Oklahoma river killings are a recent murder case involving four victims – Mark Chastain, (32), Billy Chastain (30), Mike Sparks (32), and Alex Stevens (29).
Authorities were alerted after their family members reported them missing around Monday night and early Tuesday.
The four men were reportedly together at Chastain’s house before leaving on bicycles at around 9 PM on October 9.
Who is Joe Kennedy?
Joe Kennedy is 67-year-old person of interest in the case of murder-mutilation of four individuals.
However, police took him into custody for an unrelated charge in Daytona Beach Shores. The Okmulgee Police Department released a statement after his arrest stating:
“The District Attorney and the Sheriff will begin the process of getting Kennedy back to Okmulgee County. The murder investigation is ongoing and investigators continue to follow leads every day.
On Monday, Kennedy was in a vehicle that was reported stolen when the police arrested him. The Volusia County inmate record states that he has been arrested for the grand theft of a motor vehicle that is without a bond.”
Another Person Of Interest On The Run
Okmulgee Police Chief, Joe Prentice, explained that the four murdered individuals had all suffered gunshot wounds. The group were apparently planning to commit a crime when they stepped out on their bicycles.
The police further stated that there is another person of interest in the case besides Kennedy who is missing.
Prentice stated that the person, who has denied any knowledge of these four men, is a “person of interest that we’d like to talk to”
However, police also stated that the person has been missing since Saturday and chances are that he might be suicidal.
