A 16-year-old unknown jockey won his maiden race by 27 lengths in a stunning effort that astounded the audience in awe.

The teenage star jockey, who won his maiden race by 27 lengths, returned for the same trainer, which put bookmakers on high alert. The 4-year-old gelding completely disregarded his 77 rating and made a complete mockery of the 7lb claimer, who failed to catch on.
Golden Shot had been steadily climbing the standings for Sir Mark with three triumphs and two seconds in his last five races prior to the Welsh demolition operation. He did, however, demonstrate that he has a tonne left in the tank with a victory that caused a social media meltdown.
Fred Daly had no intention of catching Golden Shot, trained by Sir Mark Prescott. Under a masterful ride, the four-year-old gelding humiliated his competitors in the 1m6f amateur jockeys’ handicap event at Ffos Las in Wales.

The 8-11 favourite Golden Shot went out up the straight and claimed the £4,867 first-place prize. Golden Shot had won four of the previous six races since September of last year. Declan, Daly’s father, was present at the track to cheer him on. Daly appeared to be an experienced veteran.
When Thefastnthecurious led him around the final turn, he might have engaged in a duel. However, Daly patiently waited for the right moment and executed a flawless finish, eventually edging out Thefastnthecurious by about 44 and a half lengths.
The young jockey, after the ride, stated, as per The Sun: “I had no idea how far clear I was!” Meanwhile, his father, who was a very proud father that time, said:
It was a very cool ride, I’m over the moon.
I must thank Sir Mark, he’s done a great job of looking after Fred.”
One bettor observed that the horse was priced at 4-5 and that doing so had been equivalent to “buying money.” A different person who praised Daly’s riding ability wrote: “Brilliant! Love Golden Shot and what a great way to start your race-riding career.”
When asked where we might expect to see his son race next, Declan replied, “We’ll have to wait and see.”
