For those who are unversed, let us tell you, as per a report by DailyMail, the 42-year-old former player has announced that his son, Joao Mendes has signed with Barcelona.

For those who are unfamiliar with Ronaldinho’s son, let us tell you, the 17-year-old is a prodigious player who plays forward.
So far, João has only played for Brazil. He started his career with clubs like Flamengo, Vasco de Gama and Boavista-RJ. Joao Mendes de Assis Moreira’s mother is ex-dancer Janaina Natielle Mendes.
Earlier, after the successful trial, the youngster signed a 6-year professional contract at Cruzeiro in 2019.
Mendes is much like his father, Ronaldinho, who has made waves in the nation before signing with Barcelona and now his son has followed in his father’s footsteps.
Like Ronaldinho, his son who has recently terminated his contract with Brazilian club Cruzeiro, is also represented by his uncle, Roberto de Assis.
For those who are unaware, let us tell you, João, whose full name is Joao de Assis Moreira was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on February 25, 2005 with the 17 year old having a height of 1.78m.

Now it seems that the teenager has impressed everyone at the Spanish football club as he got his permanent transfer to get over the line, as his father announced the done deal.
In a conversation with MARCA, Ronaldinho, who mostly played as an attacking midfielder, stated that “Yes, he is coming now. I’m never out of the club. Barcelona is part of life.
“Wherever I go I take Barcelona with me. With the arrival of my son at Barca I’ll be more present than ever.”
As per a report by Bleacher Report, Mendes has undergone a trial with the Spanish u-19 team earlier in January. He has recently signed for Barcelona’s academy after a successful trial with the Spanish side.
If you’re not aware, let us tell you, Mendes’ father has been Ambassador of the club since 2017.
