The renowned South Carolina’s trial finally ended on Friday with the sentencing of disgraced and banned attorney Richard “Alex” Murdaugh, 54, who has been charged with having killed his wife and son in the midst of 2021 to avert an impending, cascading calamity.

Jim Griffin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. Later, he pursued his legal education, earning a law degree from the same university in 1983.
He married twice. He first married Catherine. They are the parents of three daughters. However, they divorced each other under unknown circumstances. Later, he married Karen Griffin. They are the parents of three sons and have been happily living together.

Jim Griffin started his legal career in 1992 as a legal secretary for a US district court judge and an associate US attorney for the District of South Carolina.
