BBC sacks Jermain Jenas
BBC on Thursday announced that they have sacked Jenas after they received allegations of inappropriate behaviour. According to their official statement:
We can confirm that he (Jenas) is no longer part of our presenting line up.”
They further added:
We remain concerned about the potential for inappropriate workplace behavior, particularly in creative and editorial environments. Whilst challenges related to power imbalances in the workplace are a challenge for multiple employers, the BBC must hold itself to the highest standards. The BBC has clearly articulated Values and a strong Code of Conduct and there has been much progress in recent years.”
The BBC further assured that they would commission an independent review to make recommendations to improve workplace culture.

Jermaine Anthony Jenas is a former footballer and English television presenter who was born on February 18, 1983, in Nottingham, United Kingdom. He was born to parents Dennis Genas, and Lynnette Sharpe. During his time as a player, Jermaine played for several Premier League clubs, but is mainly known for his time at Newcastle and Tottenham.
