He allegedly requested Rs 9 lakh in order to grant an exporter a no-objection certificate. In order to obtain the NOC required to release his bank guarantee of Rs. 50 lakh, the complainant had given six folders comprising all papers pertaining to the shipment of food cans, according to a CBI statement.
The government department in charge of carrying out the nation’s foreign trade policy is known as DGFT. When the exporter went to the CBI, they observed Bishnoi collecting the money. Both Bishnoi’s Rajkot home and office were searched.
Official police statement
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sudhir Desai, “CBI conducted a search operation at his office throughout the night and was ready to end it in the morning when the accused suddenly went towards the window and flung himself out of it at around 9.45 am.”
Bishnoi fell from the fourth floor, suffering severe injuries. He was brought to a public hospital, where staff members pronounced him dead. In the Pradyuman Nagar police station, the police have reported an accidental death and have begun an investigation.
He stated that the CBI officers’ account would be considered in this regard. “A crowd of people demonstrated outside the civil hospital (blaming CBI for Bishnoi’s passing). The CBI officers were escorted to the police station for questioning by the police personnel who were on duty at the hospital to safeguard them,” he claimed.
According to the CBI, the businessman had previously delivered six files including the relevant paperwork for the periodic shipment of food cans to the DGFT office in Rajkot in expectation of getting the NOC.
