Javier Loya facing r*pe and multiple s*xual abuse charges

Officials in Jefferson County issued an arrest warrant for Loya on May 10 with charges of one count of first degree r*pe, five counts of first degree s*xual abuse, and one count of third degree s*xual abuse. These charges were placed by the Kentucky Court of Justice. According to online court records, the case is titled “Commonwealth vs. Loya, Enrique Javier”. Despite the harrowing charges, Loya pleaded not guilty on May 15 and the following day, he posted a $50,000 bond.

Following the news about the incident, the Texans stated:

We are aware of the serious charges filed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky against Javier Loya, one of our outside limited partners. We have agreed with Mr. Loya that while these charges are pending, he will remove himself entirely from any team or League activities.”

The club promptly notified the league of the serious pending charges against Mr. Loya after they were filed.

The NFL further stated that Loya will not participate in any league or club activity during this process. Moreover, Loya is no longer a part of any league committees. Andrew Sarne, who is Loya’s attorney, claims that his client is innocent and pleads not guilty to all charges. He stated that Loya “he unequivocally and categorically denies these allegations and will vigorously defend his innocence.” Sarne further shared how Mr. Loya voluntarily took a polygraph test where he passed 100%, confirming his innocence.

Enrique Javier Loya is a Mexican-American business entrepreneur who was born on February 2, 1969. He is currently a minority owner of NFL franchise, the Houston Texans. Loya is also the co-founder of OTC Global Holdings an independent commodity broker. Loya grew up in El Paso, Texas as the second-youngest child among seven other siblings. He had a humble upbringing with his father working at a Farah Manufacturing Co. plant.
