Canada-based famous Maash Producer and Filmmaker, Burt Metcalfe died on Wednesday, July 27th, know about his wife Jan Jorden
The tragic news of one time actor’s death was confirmed by his wife, actress Jan Jorden. As per his wife’s statement, the Filmmaker of CBS’ comedy series M*A*S*H died of natural causes.
The news of Burt Metcalfe’s demise comes weeks after ‘Goodfellas’ actor Ray Liotta died. Ray died at the age of 67 in May 2022.

Who’s Burt Metcalfe’s wife?
Burt Metcalfe, aka Burton Denis Metcalfe, was born in March 1935, in Canada. Later, in 1949, he moved to Los Angeles to study the theatre at UCLA for 4 years.
Burt made his acting debut in 1954 with Mark Robson’s ‘The Bridges of Toko Ri’. Later he went on to serve the U.S. Navy in 1956-57.
In 1959, Metcalfe appeared in ‘Gidget’. He was also seen appearing on the first season of ‘The Twilight Zone’.
The legendary writer cum director, before going behind the camera for full time, starred on the 1961-62 CBS sitcom ‘Father of the Bride’.
Burt Metcalfe was first married in 1961 to Toby H Richman. Later, in 1968, the couple got divorced.
In 1979, he once again walked down the aisle with actress Jan Jorden. She is best known for her role of Nurse Baker in 9 episodes of ‘‘M*A*S*H’ from seasons 6 to 11.
Jan Jorden aka Janice Hope Jorden, is also known for her work in 1985’s ‘MacGyver’, and ‘Days of Our Lives’ in 1965. The actress was married to Burt for 43 years.
Speaking of her late husband Metcalfe, he was nominated for Emmy awards for 13 times but he couldn’t win, not even once. 7 of his Emmy nominations were because of his outstanding comedy series.
After learning the news of his demise, his fans, friends and followers took to their social media to pay their tributes to the renowned personality.
Another user wrote, “RIP Burt Metcalfe….an integral part of MASH. I Always enjoyed seeing my last name on the screen during my youth watching MASH”.
