Jamie Meah was fatally stabbed inside a taxi on Friday, 31st of March 2023 on the Hall Lane Brentwood Terrace in Armley, Leeds
Jamie Meah’s 16-year-old friend was riding along with him in a taxi and sustained serious non-life threatening injuries. West Yorkshire Police officials have launched an investigation into the murder case of Jamie Meah. However, the officials have not yet made any arrests in this case.

Jamie Meah was 18 years old when he was stabbed to death in Armley, Leeds. Jamie was in a taxi with his 16-year-old friend during rush hour on Friday when another car with three armed occupants suddenly chased them. These armed occupants brutally attacked them. As per media reports, Jamie was stabbed through the neck and by his upper body and leg.
After he was stabbed, Jamie ran to a fish and chip shop which was nearby the incident area and he suddenly collapsed. Even though the nearby civilians came to his help and they have even performed CPR on Jamie but he, unfortunately, died from the injuries before further medical assistance. Jamie was suddenly taken to a nearby hospital where he was announced dead.
Lee Townley, who is the Detective Chief Inspector, and the Senior Investigation Officer in the Homicide and Major inquiry team said, “Extensive inquiries are being carried out in the relation to this murder case, our thoughts remain with the victim who unluckily lost his life and as a result of a violent attack on the streets of Leeds. “
Officials mentioned that they are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Till now we know that there were only two males in the taxi when this attack took place and three suspects were in another vehicle. I would urgently appeal to anyone who was at the area of the incident last night, who may have the dash cam footage or any CCTV or mobile phone footage in which anything suspicious to come forward,” he further added.
