After being homeschooled through middle school, the Georgia native played his freshman and sophomore seasons at IMG Academy. He then joined Overtime Elite as part of the league’s inaugural class.
Jackson’s team won three consecutive championships, and he has gained significant recognition, amassing over 350,000 followers on Instagram. When he joined OTE, Jackson was listed at 6-foot-11, 350 pounds.
Current Weight
Through a dedicated regimen of physical conditioning and diet, he swiftly lost weight, enhanced his mobility, and increased his strength. He now weighs around 320 pounds. Jackson declared for the NBA Draft in April.
While a team might take a chance on the much-improved center late in the second round, it is more likely that he would sign with a team as an undrafted free agent for the Summer League.

Alabama & Ohio State Offers Jackson Scholarship?
There’s another path he could take. Jahzare Jackson is also pursuing football! Before focusing on basketball, Jackson was a top-tier offensive tackle prospect. Prestigious programs like Alabama and Ohio State offered him scholarships even before he reached seventh grade.
His football career was on pause until his recent return to the gridiron in Tallahassee. Though he’s still developing, Jackson’s potential is evident.
Early on, he made a misstep during a positional drill, but his powerful frame and increasing strength with each rep showcased his tremendous upside. Jackson improved throughout the day.
Smaller defensive recruits couldn’t compete with him. It will be fascinating to see what the future holds for Jahzare Jackson.
He could join an NBA team, possibly at the G-League level, or he might pursue his potential in college football, where offensive tackles are in high demand.
