The second caregiver for Athena Brownfield after Ivon Adams, has been arrested in Arizona for “kid homicide,” as the charge is referred to in an affidavit of probable cause
According to an affidavit provided by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Ivon Adams, age 36, the husband of Alysia Adams, who was also arrested on Thursday, was taken into custody in Phoenix, Arizona.

Due to an outstanding felony warrant issued out of Oklahoma charging him with murder in the first degree and child neglect. Alysia Adams was also arrested oen Thursday.
Ivon Adams has a background in the military and served in the Marine Corps. According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), he is apparently waiting to be extradited to the state of Oklahoma. The affidavit that was just recently made public states that the evidence that supports the homicide charge comes from Ivon’s cellphone.
Searchers have been hunting for Brownfield ever since her 5-year-old sister was found wandering outside of their caretaker’s house by a postal worker about 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brownfield’s sister was found by the postal worker.
Since it was found that Athena was missing, law enforcement agencies from all throughout the state of Oklahoma. They have been conducting an intensive search for her. “At this point, the investigation into her whereabouts continues,” OSBI PIO Brook Arbeitman said. “We are actually getting tips from across Oklahoma as well as multiple other states.”

During this time while the OSBI is still looking for the missing girl. The town of Cyril has been given the instruction to halt the collection of rubbish until further notice. After searching every square inch of ground, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol decided to call off the grid search for Athena. Both search hounds and drones have been sent to the Cyril area at this time.
Athena may have been gone since the 6th of January. According to statements made by deputies with the Caddo County Sheriff’s Office to Fox 25. However, OSBI reports that they are still working on developing a definitive timeline for the circumstances surrounding Athena’s disappearance. According to OSBI, Athena has not been located as of yet.
