Although, the Olympian hasn’t posted any pictures on her Instagram account since 2022, her previous pictures have now gone viral across social media platforms especially on X.

These viral standout pictures shows Giorgia Villa hugging a wheel of parmesan almost as big as she is. She caption the post, “Always together with my best friend @parmigianoreggiano, ready to start again and face new challenges!”

For the unfamiliar, Villa secured a score of 13.766 on the uneven bars during rotation 2, the only event she competed in during the artistic gymnastics team final at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Despite her limited participation, she and her teammates Angela Andreoli, Alice D’Amato, Manila Esposito, and Elisa Iorio secured a second-place finish with a total score of 165.494, behind the United States’ 171.296.

Previous Performances

Making her World Cup debut, Villa, finished first on balance beam and second on uneven bars at the 2023 Baku World Cup. The young gymnast also bagged a gold medal at the 2022 European Championships with her team.

Speaking about Italy’s performance at Paris Olympics 2024, so far, the nation has accumulated 13 medals, ranking seventh among all competing nations, with six silvers.

Born on February 23, 2003, in Ponte San Pietro, Italy, Giorgia Villa, is a member of the national team that won silver at the Summer Olympic 2024 and bronze at the 2019 World Championships.

Standing at 5-foot-5, Villa, was also part of the gold-winning teams at the 2022 Mediterranean Games and the 2022 European Championships. Individually, she is the 2018, 2020, and 2021 Italian national champion.

She is also recognized as the 2018 Youth Olympic champion, and the 2018 European junior all-around and beam champion.
