During the semi-final on Thursday, six pro-Palestinian protesters disrupted her rehearsal with whistles and large flags before security removed them. In fact, Raphael practiced for her final while booing sounds in her car to prepare for potential backlash during her performance.

Yuval Raphael is an Israeli singer who recently performed in the finals of Eurovision 2025. She is only 24 years old, and she was a survivor of the Hamas-led massacre at the Nova music festival. She was among only 11 survivors out of a shelter that initially had about 50 people. Raphael reportedly escaped by hiding beneath bodies inside a cramped four-square-meter shelter. After the terrifying ordeal, she testified at the United Nations Human Rights Council, stating:
Only I and 10 others were saved from our shelter—a place that had become the tomb for almost 40 souls seeking refuge with us.”
