Former MMA fighter Dwayne Herelle Jr., 28, is suspected of killing Irene Torres, 24, by stabbing her repeatedly outside her Tennessee house and stuffing her body in his closet. According to reports, the event started after a dispute outside the woman’s Tennessee house.
He has lately been charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend. The graphic information was made public on Wednesday at Dwayne Herelle Jr.’s preliminary hearing. He is charged with killing Irene Torres, 24.

The body of Torres was found in a closet on January 29 at Herelle’s house outside of Nashville. Security footage from just before Torres passed away was leaked last week. During her ex-preliminary boyfriend’s hearing, the video was shown. Derry Baltimore, a detective with the Metro Nashville Police Department, claimed that when an altercation broke out, the accuser started stabbing her and after stabbing her he threw her in the trunk of his car.

Irene Torres passed away on January 28, 2023, allegedly at the hands of her former boyfriend Dwayne Herelle Jr. At roughly 1:30 a.m. local time, the attack happened in front of her parents’ home. Herelle’s sister said that Torres had broken up with her a month prior to her death. The relationship is also thought to have been physically and emotionally violent.
Reyna Douglas, the victim’s older sister, said on a GoFundMe page for Torres, “Although most 24-year-olds are planning their professions, and futures, and are hopeful about the world, Irene spent some of the last months of her young life humiliated, degraded, scared, and fearful.”
Irene bravely left her violent relationship and was thrilled to begin a new life with the support of her family. However, one month later, she was brutally murdered in her front yard after being tracked down there. She was not on Instagram.
