About Inzamam-ul-Haq
Former Pakistani cricket player Syed Inzamam-ul-Haq, often known as Inzi, captained the country’s national side. He is considered to be among the top middle-order batsmen of all time and one of the best players Pakistan has ever produced.
Prior to his resignation in 2023, he served as the Pakistan cricket team’s chief selector. He was a member of the Pakistani team that won the Cricket World Cup in 1992.
In the world of international cricket, he is the only batsman from Pakistan to reach 20,000 runs. From 2003 until 2007, he led the Pakistani cricket team as captain. He bowled occasional mild left-arm spin and was a productive batter.
Inzamam-ul-Haq is still a significant figure in Pakistani cricket and a well-known member of the Islamic missionary group Tablighi Jamaat.
He was named Pakistan’s national cricket team’s top selector in April 2016. Afghanistan advanced to the Super 10 stage after defeating Zimbabwe once again in the ICC World Twenty20 Group Stage while he was coaching the Afghan cricket team. Although his squad put up a valiant fight against South Africa and Sri Lanka, they were unable to win. They defeated the West Indies, who were at the top of the table, in their tournament final.
He was once more named the Pakistan cricket team’s chief selector in August 2023.
