Raja Raghuvanshi’s sister, Instagram influencer Shrasti Raghuvanshi has gone viral owing to her posts
In the Indore murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi, a love triangle between him, his wife Sonam Raghavunshi and her lover has emerged.

Madhya Pradesh’s Indore was home to age 29 Raja Raghuvanshi with his mother’s name Uma Raghuvanshi and him having a sister as well named Shrasti Raghuvanshi who is an Instagram influencer while his brother is named Vipin. He was an Indore based businessman and had gotten married to Sonam who is aged 24 in what was an arranged marriage.
His sister Shrasti who has 370,000 followers on Instagram and often posts reels of herself and does collaborations with brands has seen faced backlash online owing to her insensitive Instagram posts, with her posting on a string of occasions along with doing promotional reels in the midst of her brother’s death. She has been slammed by social media users for her tone deaf behaviour who have lamented how she has used the case to increase her views.
Raja Raghuvanshi was a transport businessman from Indore and had departed for his honeymoon to Meghalaya and Assam on May 20, 2025.
On May 23, while on his honeymoon in Meghalaya with his wife Sonam, he vanished. On June 2, his decomposing body was discovered with evidence of murder in a ravine close to Weisawdong Falls. A CBI probe into Raja’s death and abduction was demanded by his family.
It has been revealed that Sonam Raghavunshi had a romantic relationship with Raj Kushwaha, who is alleged to have been the mastermind behind the whole episode. Raj who is aged 21 is said to have worked for Sonam’s father in her plywood business as incharge of accounting along with the other two arrested alongside him.

Sonam Raghavunshi fell deeply in love with Raj Kushwaha, who was five years younger than her. According to Raja’s family, she used to speak with Raj all day long. According to Vipin Raghuvanshi, Raja’s brother, Raja used to work for Sonam’s father’s business.

On Monday, June 9, 2025, Vipin Raghuvanshi, Raja’s brother revealed that his sister-in-law, Sonam Raghuvanshi, used to speak with Raj on the phone all the time. Age 21 Raj Kushwaha and age 24 Sonam Raghuvanshi had plotted to have Raja Raghuvanshi killed.

Vipin Raghuvanshi said, “I don’t know anything about the other 3-4 people who were arrested, I don’t even know their names but Raj Kushwaha’s name came up, which means that Sonam Raghuvanshi is also involved in Raja’s murder because Raj Kushwaha was his employee.
Vipin Raghuvanshi claims that since they were both quite happy once the marriage was arranged, he never thought Sonam could kill Raja.

He never imagined Sonam would act in this manner. The claim made by the Meghalaya government that Sonam was responsible for Raja’s death is true. He stated, “There is every chance that she was involved in it.”
According to Vipin Raghuvanshi, Raja and Sonam had merely travelled to Assam to see the Kamakhya Mata temple before continuing on to Shillong. How the decision to travel to Meghalaya was taken is unknown to him. Not even a return ticket was purchased by the couple.
After completing her studies, Sonam began working for her father’s business, according to police sources. Raj Kushwaha was a manager at the corporation, and she was in charge of human resources. This is where the two first met and fell in love.
The Meghalaya police on Monday indicated that the motive behind tourist Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder could stem from the affair of his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, with Raj Kushwaha who was Sonam’s employee with her planning her husband’s murder days after getting married to him.
The first person arrested is a 19-year-old Akash Rajput, from Lalitpur and the second accused is Vishal Singh Chauhan, age 22 years, from Indore, and the third is Raj Singh Kushwaha, age 21 years, from Indore. These people committed the crime on 23rd May and left soon after with Raja’s body found only on 2 June.
