Influencer, age 25 Kate Cassidy, who was dating former One Direction member Liam Payne, was with him in Argentina prior to her return to the United States in the final days of his life
Officials from the 14B Police Station verified that on October 16, Liam Payne, 31, fell from the third floor of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The hotel management called the cops at 5:04 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, claiming that Liam Payne was acting violently and might have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs. When responders from the Emergency Medical Attention System (SAME) and 14B Police Station arrived, they discovered Payne’s body in the CasaSur hotel’s inside courtyard.
With help from the City Police, a prosecutor and municipal authorities are looking into the singer’s cause of death.
Kate Cassidy had left the singer in Argentina two days prior to his death. She had announced in a TikTok video on Monday that she was leaving Payne behind and heading back to Florida following her two weeks with him in Argentina.

On September 20, Kate Cassidy shared a TikTok video in which she described how she and Payne met and how it nearly didn’t work out. The model claimed that they met at the Ritual bar in Charleston, South Carolina, and started dating in October 2022.
Two weeks before meeting the singer, Cassidy had just recently begun working there, and that evening, he attempted to leave work. Cassidy claimed that she didn’t think Payne was flirting, but rather unduly cordial, throughout their conversation. When he asked to have her number, that was all different. When she realized later that night that she had forgotten to provide the area code, she freaked out.
“He asked for my number and I didn’t realize you had to put the +1 because I’m, obviously, from America. So I just put my area code, the 201, and he literally tried texting me and it, like, kept going green, not delivered,” Cassidy said.

In another picture, Cassidy’s gown was adorned with a blue sash featuring Greek lettering for her Phi Sigma Sigma sorority.
She had been dating 31 year old Payne since the last two years. While her net worth isn’t known, Payne was worth 46 million pounds at the time of his death.
