Investigation details in Gurvinder Nath case unveiled
Peel Regional Police, spearheading the investigation, expressed in a statement their belief that multiple suspects played a role in this tragic event. The deceptive food order is suspected to have been a calculated move to trap Nath at the crime scene. An audio recording of the pizza order made before the attack has been secured by the police, strengthening their evidence pool. Although Nath’s innocence shines through, every potential reason behind this crime is being meticulously examined.
The investigation has further zeroed in on a specific vehicle of interest, described as a white Hyundai Accent sedan from the years 2012 to 2017. Also distinctively, this car showcases a flashing blue light atop its windscreen. A suspect, dressed in dark clothing, has been spotted in CCTV footage alighting from this very car.
Phil King from Peel Regional Police’s Homicide Bureau made a significant breakthrough by discovering Gurvinder Nath’s car, which was found abandoned near Old Creditview and Old Derry roads. As the investigation delves deeper, evidence retrieved from Nath’s car, following a comprehensive forensic examination, could hold the key to solving this heinous crime.
The community comes together for Gurvinder Nath
The shocking event has sent shock waves through the neighbourhood. A GoFundMe effort was started to help Nath’s grieving family and fund his funeral. The goal is to raise enough money to send his body back to India and pay for other costs.
Gurvinder Nath, who was studying business in Toronto, had been working hard to pay the high tuition fees for foreign students. Friends and family remember how happy he was with his new Jetta, which represented all of his hard work and hopes. The terrible carjacking happened when this car was being delivered. Also after the attack, Nath was rushed to the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. His fight for life ended in sadness, and the community is now in mourning and wants justice.
Even though the investigation is still going on and the people who did it haven’t been caught, Gurvinder Nath’s untimely death is a sharp reminder of how unpredictable life is and how much a single act of violence can hurt a community.
