Pratham Singh is an Indian cricketer who was born on August 31, 1992, in Delhi, India. He currently plays as a batter for the Railways cricket team as well as the Central Zone cricket team. Singh is currently 32 years old, and despite being born in Delhi, he presently lives in Uttar Pradesh. Pratham made his debut in List A and first-class cricket for Railways back in 2017.
He has also played U22 cricket for the Jharkhand Cricket Board.
Education
Pratham has a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication, and he is currently employed as a technician in Railways.
Career and stats
Pratham Singh started out playing for Jharkhand at the under-22 level. He eventually made his List A debut for Railways during the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 26, 2017. Pratham then made his first-class debut during the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on November 9, 2017. Pratham Singh also played for the Gujarat Lions during the 2017 edition of IPL and the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2022. He mainly plays a left-handed opening batter and currently plays for Railways in domestic cricket.
The veteran batsman was the leading run-scorer for Railways during the 2020-21 Vijay Hazare tournament. Pratham is currently in brilliant form in red-ball cricket, scoring two hundreds in the Buchi Babu tournament. He also scored a century in his last Ranji game as well, which has led to his recent selection ahead of Shubman. Pratham also played in the first innings for India A against India D in the ongoing Duleep Trophy, but scored only 7 on the opening day.
