In his first Big Bash League game, Nikhil Chaudhary surprised everyone by hitting for the Hobart Hurricanes and scored an astounding 40 runs off of 31 deliveries.
Chaudhary proved to be a valuable member of the Hurricanes squad, even if they lost to the Perth Scorchers by just nine runs. Apart from his batsmanship, he also demonstrated his bowling abilities as he let up just five runs in the over he delivered.

Nikhil Chaudhary is a right-hand batsman and off-break bowler who began his cricket career with Punjab’s U-16, U-19, and U-22 teams. He was born on May 4, 1996, in Delhi.
A look at Nikhil Chaudhary’s career
Nikhil Chaudhary has shown his ability in two List A games and twelve T20 matches, despite having little senior-level opportunities in India. He started his career by playing in U-16, U-19 and U-22 teams for Punjab.
He plays for the Hobart Hurricanes, one of the eight BBL clubs, and he made his debut in the league on December 20 against the reigning Perth Scorchers. In the 2016–17 inter-state T20 competition, he made his T20 debut for Punjab. Choudhary, who played local cricket for Punjab in India, relocated to Australia three years ago.
He represented Punjab in 12 domestic Twenty20 matches. In those games, he captured seven wickets and scored 106 runs. He moved to Australia three years ago to play cricket in Brisbane, seeking greater chances. In two List A matches for the 2017 Vijay Hazare Trophy, he has also played for Punjab.
